About Us

Longwood started as an upscale, privately owned community with 16 units, and has continued to develop over the years under the guidance of a Board of Directors. The Longwood Owners Assn. enforces a strict set of rules and regulations that maintains the value and beauty of the community. The original developers are often described as “ahead of their time” and are given credit for an outstanding development. A yearly maintenance fee ensures the upkeep of the common areas. The streets, driveways, and landscaping is maintained on a weekly basis providing the neat, clean appearance that makes Longwood special.  The streets are clean, curbs and drains are free of debris, and there is no loose trash.  Maintenance issues are addressed immediately.

Currently, Longwood has 38 single family properties and 3 undeveloped lots. The ages of the homes vary.  16 were built in 1984,  7 in 2006, with the remainder by 2015.  Units 1 through 9, part of the original development, are condominium style homes. Later homes are on quarter-acre lots with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a connected garage. All dwellings are for residential purposes only.

The dwelling exteriors conform to a community-wide image of quality with freshness and harmony of design. Construction standards are specified in the Covenants and all construction is approved by the Architectural Control Committee. New construction or remodeling must conform to standards and restrictions, as updated and amended, at the time of construction and remodeling.

The affairs of the Owner Association are managed by a Board of five (5) Directors, who must be Dwelling Owners and Members of the Association. The Directors meet quarterly to conduct Association business and are obligated by the By-Laws to address non-compliance of the Rules and Regulations.  The Board follows step by step, documented processes specified by Texas HOA Law in the conduct of business. Meetings are open and follow Rules of Order.

Without doubt, Longwood has maintained its beauty and value throughout its’ 35-year history because of its’ architectural standards, exceptional maintenance and enforcement of the Declarations and Rules and Regulations.
